TO WHOME IT MAY CONCERNThis is to certify that Dr Robert Cey-Bert was a gastronomic adviser of The Oriental. His collaboration with The Oriental between 1980 and 1995 includes:

December 1981: Dr Robert Cey-Bert organised at The Oriental Hotel with Henri Gault and Alain Senderens the first international symposium in Asia on the New French cooking (Nouvelle Cuisine Francaise).

December 1984: He organized at The Oriental Hotel the world's First Gastronomic Summit Meeting with the participation of the representatives of the world seven gastronomic super-powers namely China (William Mark, Doreen Leung, Margaret Chan), Japan (Shizuo Tsuji, Hiroyuki Yamagata), Thailand (M.R.Thanadsri Svasti), France (Henri Gault, Paul Bocuse, Michel Piot), Italy (Federico d' Amato), Spain (Mercedes Giralt), Hungary (Dr Robert Cey-Bert). The Gastronomic Summit saw the foundation of the World Gastronomic Council composed of the seven founding members. The Council has appointed Henri Gault as President, NI.R.Thanadsri Svasti as Vice-President and Dr Robert Cey-Bert as Secretary General.

October 1989: He organised with Michael Broadbent (Christies of London) a symposium on the world most prestigious wines with tutored wine tasting sessions,

In the eighties, he successfully organised gastronomic festivals with famous Chefs i.e.:

From France: Paul Bocuse, Alain Senderens, Pierre Troisgros, Alain Ducasse. Alain Scaviner, Jean Bardet, Hotel Bristol of Paris, Joel Rebuehon.

From Italy: Alberto Ciarla

From Japan: Tsuji Culinary Institute, Osaka

From Spain: Mercedes Giralt

From Austria: Sacher Hotel, Vienna
